Damore Business Brokers takes pride in giving personalized attention to each and every transaction. We specialize in selling a wide range of small to mid-sized businesses throughout Northern California. We also perform Broker’s Opinion of Value / Business Valuations.
Anne Damore, broker, with over 20 years experience involved in running and selling businesses, connects qualified buyers and sellers. Anne has served on the Board of Directors for the California Association of Business Brokers.

What We Do

Confidentiality

Sellers can be assured their information is kept highly confidential. Precautions are taken with potential buyers who are required to sign confidentiality agreements and fill out a buyer’s profile. We realize how very important confidentiality is to sellers!
Value & Timing

With our experience, industry standards and the seller’s unique business, we work with sellers to help determine the best value for their business. We also discuss with the seller the best timing to sell.
Recasting

Financial statements are usually prepared for tax purposes, not for business sale purposes. They often do not accurately reflect the true profitability of a business. To determine the value of a business, we work with the seller and CPAs to “re-cast earnings” so we can “adjust” the cash flow to come up with a more realistic value of the business.
Packaging

A professionally packaged and presented business increases a buyer’s confidence and comfort level, and increases the likelihood of a successful sale. At the same time stress on seller confidentiality.
Marketing

The best price often comes from buyers outside the seller’s immediate industry. Our multi-faceted marketing approach helps us pull from a large data base of highly interested buyers. We pre-qualify buyers to minimize the seller’s time and protect confidentiality.
Negotiation

Our involvement allows the business owner to remain at arm’s length during the negotiation process while maintaining complete control. This way the seller does not appear anxious or compromise their position. This also helps to maintain a better relationship with the buyer during the final transfer.
Due Diligence

Since the buyer desires to validate the information presented by the seller, their due diligence period is a very critical time. We work with all parties involved to make sure the buyer and their advisers (CPAs, attorneys, etc) receive the information they need to accomplish a successful transfer of the business.
Escrow Process

We work very closely with the escrow company throughout the entire escrow process. We help both sellers and buyers get to escrow all documentation necessary for a successful close.
